Setting them out
Push the canes into soft ground 60–80 cm apart, crook side out.
Run the lead back to the panel and stake it where it gets direct sun.
Let the panel charge for a full day before the first evening.
Check after the first night; refirm any cane that leans.
Good to know
5-cane and 8-cane runs are two separate sets, not an expandable string.
Output depends on daylight. In deep shade or short winter days, expect a shorter run time.
Wipe snow off the panel so it can keep charging.
For garden and pathway use; bring the panel indoors for storage.
